What are the 'must haves' for twins?

What twin baby items do I need to buy two of for having twins.....high chair, swing, exersaucer, etc?

NEVER GET TWO OF THE SAME THING!

You don't need two of everything. I personally got one papasan chair, one swing and one excersaucer. Remember that you're most likely going to be holding one or feeding one while the other is on the swing etc...
I got a good amount of my things from www.Stuff4Multiples.com. They had cute sets and even a twin carrier!

Check out mom2mom sales in your area as well as craigslist. I got most of my double strollers from craigslist and mom2mom sales. I stay at home with my twinfants and 2 yr old so I need more stuff than if I just had twins or if I worked. Get in touch with your local chapter of Mothers of Multiples too. I have 2 of lots of things. Must have is highchairs, cribs and swings. You can always get 1 reg swing and one travel swing, I picked one up for $10! Good luck and congratulations. Be sure to test out strollers first, front to back are murder to steer side by sides are easier. I have a dbl snap n go (highly recommend but get one used) I bought off craigslist that I use now and can probably sell for same price I bought it for. When they are older I have a combi twin I got from another twin mom.

Must haves

You definetly dont need two of everything. We used one swing, one bouncy seat, one bath tub (cause thats all you will be able to handle giving a bath to), and one double stroller. You will need two cribs and eventually two port o cribs are nice when traveling or just having them play in, and two sleep positioners for the first 4 months.

You will need to double up on diapers, wipes, bottles (if you are not breasfeeding). We had people purchase alot of blankets, burp rags, bibs, etc but we just didnt need that many.

Just the necessities...

The only must-haves for twins are food, diapers, clothes, blankets & most of all...LOVE. You don't need 2 of everything. For example, I had one swing and one papazan. I would put one in the swing, the other in the papazan and after a while I'd switch them. You are going to be spending more money than most people on things such as diapers, wipes, etc...don't overextend yourself on the fun stuff yet. Once my two sweet angels (boy/girl twins) got big enough to need high chairs, we were blessed to have someone give us one and we bought another one. That is one thing I'd say you (eventually) need two of. But you'll see once your twins get here that you have to do things differently that those "one baby at a time" families. :o) You do what works for you and don't feel like you have to have 2 of everything...that would get REALLY expensive. :o) Good luck!
