Weight Gain with Twins
I cannot find any information regarding what is the healthy amount of weight to gain in my first trimester with twins. I am 11 weeks and have gained 8 lbs. I just want to know is that too much or too little? I want to make sure I gain the healthy amount of weight, so I want to know if I should change anything right now.

Really, the first trimester is about the same as a singleton pregnancy so you are right on track ! The babies - even though they are two in there - are too tiny to weigh much of anything yet. You may find this page helpful Weight Gain with Twins
The goal is to gain an average of 1 lb a week for the first 24 weeks and then 1.5 lbs a week after that , according to research. You're looking at gaining a healthy 40-50 pounds during this pregnancy and most of that will come in the last trimester.
Now that you are entering the 2nd trimester , you'll want to ensure a healthy diet and lots of protein and you'll more than likely see the pounds start to add on as the babies start to grow. You'll want to focus more on the quality of the food and not the quantity.
Weight gain from here on in is far more important than the first trimester, as many twins decide to make their entrance early so you want to pack in as much nutrition as you can!
Congratulations on your twin pregnancy !
