Twins - Double Trouble

Kade and Konnor Our Twin Babies
My husband and I were so excited when we got pregnant the second time. We would have our little girl and Baby # 2 exactly two years apart and our family would be complete. However, God had a different plan for us.
I went in for my ultrasound May 2, 2007. My doctor wanted to make sure there wasn't more than one baby in there because I was so sick. Little did he know, his joke had come true. We were expecting twins. Neither of us knew of twins in the family but we were shocked and excited all at once. Our oldest, Kimberly, was going to have two babies!
We found out a little over a month later that we were having twin boys. They were growing great and the pregnancy was going pretty good, except for the three months of being sick day in and day out. My due date was December 1, 2007, but of course they would come earlier.
My doctor had me worried when he told me my first goal was to make it to 28 weeks, then 32 weeks and so on. But those boys were stubborn and didn't arrive until November 10, 2007! The section went great! Kade was born at 9:11 am and Konnor at 9:12 am. Kade was 6lbs 4.7oz and Konnor was 6lbs 6.9oz. I knew my stomach was heavy but not that heavy! Kade had to spend two days in the NICU due to fluid on his lungs which cause fast breathing.
That didn't last too long. They slept all night at one month old and have been on the same schedule since we left the hospital. Sometimes I worry about buying groceries! lol!
Today my boys are almost one, they are so different. They are fraternal as well. Kade is my curious George and Konnor is a lap baby. They love their big sister so much. She keeps them entertained most of the time. I could not ask for better kids!
