Twins Biting Each Other

by Meagan corniel
(Hurst Texas)

Our year old twin girls bite each others fingers all the time. I noticed that each of them will stick their fingers in the other ones chomper. It occurs more while nursing. Sometimes the biter will grab her sisters finger and gently place them in her mouth while gazing into her eyes as in almost to observe her reaction after the initial bite.

Mine did the same thing too and sometimes they still do (they are 18months) im not sure how old your twins are but i was reading a very interesting article on biting a few months ago. It states that rather than looking at biting as a behaviour thing look at as a sensory and mouth excercise thing. Provide them with chewy foods and toys that get there mouth moving. I started to give my boys toast in the morning rather than soft cereal and it has improved!!
