Twin ultrasound videos - a collection

Twin ultrasound videos - with the advent of technology, it is truly amazing that we are able to witness our babies growing inside before we actually get to meet them!

One of my readers wanted to share her amazing twin ultrasound video which got me thinking that many more expecting momma's out there may want to share theirs with the twin community as well!

"Hi, I value your site highly and wanted to contribute my ultrasound videoclip to your ultrasound pics page - but windows won't let me as it's not a jpg. It is amazing the sonographer pans around my tummy going from twin 1 to twin 2. It only lasts 10 seconds, but still makes me go WOW every time. Is there any way I can get it to you?"

Kind regards Sarah, Portsmouth, UK (30 weeks gone with "the Boys")

So a BIG thank you to Sarah - here are her 'boys' on tape!

Sarah's Story - At 10 weeks, Martin and I had this joke going that I was pregnant with twins as I had been complaining of belly bulge after dinner in the evenings. I was so big at night and then in the morning it was flat again. As I had only been sick once there was NO WAY it was twins, we were just having a laugh.

At the 13 week scan the sonographers set up and for 5 seconds we could see what looked like 2 golf balls... they stopped and said "AHAAAA we'll tell you what we see in a minute" to which we replied "Don't bother...WE KNOW!"

I love this short video clip of the scan and I want to share it with you... The sonographer pans across my tum and you see one twin and then the other so clearly, even their little hearts beating. The white line between them is the dividing membrane where they are fraternal and each have a sac.

From Sarah in the UK, still moaning about belly bulge at 30 weeks with "The Boys" - Keep us posted!

As expectant twin parents, one of the fun benefits of having twins is you'll likely have a few extra scans done. which really helps to let you 'see' your little ones as well as monitor their growth and let you in on their twin type! Finding out any health concerns that your babies may have ahead of time as well as their zygosity ( to a certain extent) just makes the twin pregnancy that much more fascinating.
