Twin Pregnancy Risks

by Macie Kane
(Tennessee)

I am 19 years old and 8 weeks pregnant with twins. Since I am younger, am I more at risk for preterm labor and other twin pregnancy complications?
Thanks
~Macie

I was also 19

I was pregnant at 19 with twins and my pregnacy went really well until the end than I developed preeclampsia. This can happen to anyone. I had to have a c-section 6 weeks early but both babies were fine and so was I they came home the same day as me. Just take it easy. You will do just fine.

Riskyness...
by: Etheena

Truthfully, any women carrying twins is more at risk for preterm labor. If something feels funky with your body don't hesitate to call your ob/gyn. Everytime I go to the dr. office he keeps stressing the fact that I could go into preterm labor. Good Luck!!!
