Twin Parenting: Schedules!

How can I get my twin girls (5 months old) on the same schedule? What would be a good schedule at this age? Up until now it has worked well with them being on different schedules, eating and napping at different times, nursing at demand, etc. Now I would like to take a little more control of the situation :-)

I don't blame you. Have you tried tandem nursing? At 5 months you should be able to and this will cut your breastfeeding time in half. As far as routines go - babies and children thrive on routines - they like to know what's coming next. The EASY way stands for EAT - ACTIVITY - SLEEP - and YOU time. So depending on when they would wake - change their diapers, feed them both, let them play then down for the morning nap. Repeat! In the evening add a bath. Be consistent. Lights out, door shut and good night. Play soothing music if you like. You'll find if you do the same thing at the same time each day for a week or so you'll start to get into a rhythm :) And you'll start having a little more sleep and time to yourself. Not much at this age - but a little more!
Hope that helps - I'm sure readers will add their thoughts as well
