I'm a working mom of 5 month old twins - & 14 and 10 year old boys. On the weekends, I get frustrated, because they are awake from appx. 6-8am until about 9pm (with a couple long/short naps in between). I LOVE being with them, but I'm at a loss as to how to best entertain them. I've tried baby gyms, tummy time, baby videos (for brief periods), dancing around & making faces (which cracks them up), & reading, but they bore easily, and get frustrated. Any ideas on what I can do to make their days at home more fun? Keep in mind, they have very diff't personalities. Kaitlyn is sweet & a cuddle-lover, but she's very serious. Tyler is cheerful, smiley, and super-friendly, but has a ferocious temper!) Any suggestions would be welcome. :-)

That makes for a very long day for you ! Some things that worked around here for us were taking walks outside as much as possible - the fresh air does them and you ! good and helps them sleep.

We also had 2 different excersaucers - the round things with a seat in the middle and toys attached all around. This kept them upright and involved, lots to fiddle with, we could switch them from one to the other for a change - they could see each other better as well.

At 5 months they should probably still be having a morning and an afternoon nap - take advantage of those times to take a little time for mom. If it's too short a nap, it's OK to leave them in their cribs for a while if they're happy and go take a nice long shower or whatever relaxes you.

I'm sure some of my readers and fellow twin moms will also have some ideas for you.

Your babies are beautiful ! Thanks for writing!
