Twin Birth Story -Eli & Nate

My twin pregnancy with boy twins was going great I felt awesome and my Dr said we were all healthy. At four months I had my run in with the hospital for kidney stones. Ouch ladies drink your water! At 6mos and just two days after my babyshower my Dr put me on bedrest my cervix was thinning faster than it should.

A week after that I was in the hospital to stop signs of premature labor. I felt like somebody knocked my feet out from under me. My baby boys were not even 2 lbs each and I was scared out of my mind. I was told I would have them early but they would prolong the twin pregnancy as long as they could. I read up on premature labor and watch every episode of neonatal reality shows on Discover channel.....I wouldn't recommend that by the way. At 31 weeks I was told I would have them. Baby A was so low the nurse could feel his head during the exam. Again I was nervous for my babies I wanted them to stay in with the best chances possible. The joke with dr was don't put any pepper on this girls food or she is having these babies. Guess what I got to go home again! They said I would be back by the weekend but I held those babies till 37weeks! Just at full term. Elias and Nathaniel were born 6lbs each and healthy. I am a strong believer God helped me through. Till this day my Dr said he can't believe I made it to full term. I hope this gives some comfort to a nervous twin mom. Even if your babies are born earlier trust that your twin babies are in good hands you were double blessed already! I love my boys and wouldn't change a thing :)
