11 weeks postpartum twins

11 weeks postpartum twins

I gave birth to Boy/Girl twins on August 6, 2009 at 35 weeks. Both babies were very healthy (6 lbs each) and NO NICU!! I am still self-conscious about my belly, but I'm working to get it back to some semblance of what I had before. I used this site while I was pregnant, so I'm going to share my pictures. Thanks for this site!

Wow
by: Jenne

I am 20 weeks and 2 days along with boy/girl twins and I am already freaking out about twin skin! I have a 5 yr old boy and you couldn't tell, no extra skin and no stretch marks on my belly (some on my breasts though). Now that I am really starting to show I hope for the same luck. Your picture gives me hope though, you look perfect and amazing. Thank you for posting. I'll put a pic up when I'm done with these two.

you are welcome!!
by: Anonymous

you are welcome hun! i'll be brave and post myself to, come what may!! i hope i get lucky to. i was the mom other mom's hated for bouncing back, and i'm certain you will get that FOR LIFE after having twins, lol, but enjoy that, and enjoy your bubs. i'm really scared about so many things..yes my body, but more so of course, of possible complications, preterm labor, csection, i have neverhad one, and then the aftermath. i read so much online about how hard twins are, and make sure you got a ton of help, and really we don't, and my husband works nights, i get so frightened, lol. i know it's gotto be amazing though, so i look forward to meeting them to! you are my inspiration and i thank you for that. BTW i love the belly ring. mine ripped out *long story..ouchie), but maybe a repierce after all this is over. we'll see:)

Thank you both!
by: Johanna

Thank you both! My belly-button still sticks out a little- the navel ring kind of hides what's left. I wanted to add pictures of myself pregnant, but I didn't see the option to add more photos. I am very pleased with how quickly I have recovered- people had me terrified!! I know you all went through the "naysayers" in the grocery store, etc. What I realized, though, was that none of them were mothers of twins. Once you experience the pregnancy, birth, and postpartum period of twins, you realize how truly unique of an experience it is, and how proud you should be of your body.

beautiful!

your belly looks fabulous! my boys are 2 years old now, & I would LOVE for my stomach to look like that! I was on bedrest for nearly 5 months & gained a lot of weight because of having to eat so much protein (twin-to-twin transfusion syndrome treatment). Since their birth i've returned to my normal weight & size, but my bellybutton looks like a frowning face =-p Congrats to you & your beauty! your tattoo looks good as well.
