It works itself out!
by: RC

We had our girls in a pack n play beside me for the first four months snuggled comfortably in their swaddle blankets. Then they started wiggling their hands out and smacking each other in the face so we moved them into separate pack n plays. At 6mos we decided since the risk of SIDS decreased like 95%, we put them in their own room in separate cribs-and we ALL have slept quite peacefully ever since! I think they sleep so well b/c they know that there is someone else in the room-its wonderful!

Seperate cribs
by: Sara

We initially had our boys in one crib, but that just did not work for them. I was planning on having them co-bed until 6 months, but they have been in their own cribs since about 2 months. They sleep much better, I think. My only issue now is that they get so loud when they wake up and start chattering, that they wake the other one up. Would be a lot worse, if they were in the same crib. My boys are 6 months now.

what ever you feel comfortable with
by: Carolyn

Both sets of my twins shared a crib up until they were almost two years old. When I researched it before the first set was born, everything I read said, it was great for them to share until they started waking each other up. I had two cribs, but they shared until that point. Even then when I seperated them, they had a hard time sleeping without each other. :)

I think sleeping arrangements greatly depends on what you feel comfortable with thems leeping!

co- sleeping
by: Jennifer

My twin gilrs are 11 months old, and have been sharing the same crib since birth. They are very close and love to hold hands at night. It seems like they always have to be touching each other. We have tried to have them sleep in seperate cribs, but they will not have it. (I think them were so close and bonded in utero that they love the closeness.) I have noticed though a lot of parents on here, have their twins co-bed till around 6 months old, or they start to roll over them they move them to their own cribs. Rolling was never as issue with us, they stay on their own sides. Good luck

Sharing a crib
by: Brenda

Its ok to share a crib but our girls only did so the first 6 months. At 6 months they were rolling over and waking each other up. So we moved them in to their own crib.

Sharing a crib
by: Kristin

It'a OK for them to share a crib for as long as they can. Our girls only made it sharing a crib, for 6.5 months, because they were rolling on top of each other and waking each other up. When we seperated them we pushed their cribs together and took the bumpers off of the side of their cribs that were touching and they would hold hands or put their legs through the rails to touch each other, it was very sweet. They stayed like that until 10.5 months when we seperated their cribs, on opposite sides of their nursery because they were waking each other up again. Good Luck!
