SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS FOR TWIN BABIES

by Marisol Vera
(New Jersey)

My twin girls are now 1, because we live a a 1 bedroom apt. one sleeps in a crib and the other in the play pen and every other week we switch babies so that one doesn't get used to just one place to sleep. I feel so guilty when I put the twins to sleep for the night in the play pen. My Pediatrician says it's OK, but I truly feel badly. Is anyone going through this?

I am currently doing this too, but not cause we don't have enough space but because buying two cribs is a lot of money. I can't get either of them to stay in the crib or playpen all night anyways. It seems they always end up in my bed by the morning. They are almost 9 months now.

Same bed?
by: RadTechHolls

Is there a reason they cant sleep together? I have 1yr old twin girls and they both sleep in the same bed together. One on one side and one on the other. They still have their own space. I don't see the problem with them sleeping together unless they have totally different sleeping schedules. My girls love it. They entertain themselves until they fall asleep and usually wake up and play together before we get them in the morning. If your crib is bid enough I'd say put them in it together!! Nothing is sweeter then going in their room in the morning and seeing two little ruffled heads peaking over the top of the crib!!! Good luck!!
