Should I be concerned about this?

I am currently 19 weeks pregnant with twins and what I am about to tell you may not be for those with touchy stomachs. Yesterday morning I had the sudden urge to have a bowel movement so I went and I strained a little (cuz I am still a little constipated) but after wards I had wiped my vagina and there was some pinkish discharge and even a little brownish discharge. I did recently have to go get my cervix checked a few weeks ago because of an abnormal pap, not sure if that has anything to do with that. I later felt kinda sick and was going to the bathroom a lot the rest of the day and having some pretty soft stools. I had also had some pretty intense contractions but nothing consistent so I opted not to go in to the hospital. Today I feel fine, nothing like I did yesterday, should I go in to get a look at or should I just wait till my apt next Thursday? Please help I want to play it safe but I don't want to be going to the hospital over every little thing.

common sense
by: Anonymous

if you think that then why did you ask for other's opinions. it's not if your body thinks something is wrong, you are suppose to be seen whenever something like bleeding or spotting occurs. even contractions, even if they are not consistant. that's common sense.

I'm not saying that I don't care
by: Deb

Please don't imply that I don't care about my babies. I called my doc and he said it was prob from straining, which I don't really believe myself to be true. I just assumed that if I wasn't bleeding or have consistant contractions then it wasn't horribly serious. I am cautious but I aslo feel that a certain degree of common sence needs to be applied as well. If my body tells me there is something wrong then I will trust that instinct.

GO!!
by: Natasha

I went for everything, and come to find out it was good because one time I was 3 cm. You will get to know the nurses and that's ok. They totally understand. It's your job to protect them :)

Call
by: Anonymous

These are your babies...I wouldnt be second guessing ANYTHING. Call your doctor and ask them. If they feel its something they need to see you about than they will do so. If not, than go to the hospital. But either doctor or hospital, needs to be called and seen!

Go
by: Kristan

Go to the hospital it could be nothing or it could be the begining of a miscarriage. I had similar problems and some times I thought going to the hospital would be a waste of time. then to find out they could be at jepardy, I had to be put on bed rest. Thank god I wasted my time I was contracting and as the weeks went by I was at the hospital like every 3 days. at 29 weeks I was put on meds and a monitor. Today I thank god. I was blessed with my two Beautiful Baby Boy & Baby Girl giving birth at 35 weeks Both weighed in over six lbs. Today my twins are 7lbs 8oz & 8lbs 4oz almost a month old. Good luck to you.
