REAL twin skin, 5 babies in 7 years

5 babies in 7 years, I was a surrogate twice. After the twin pregnancy, my second to last pregnancy, my skin is ruined. 31 years old, 5'6" 113 pounds, intense diet and exercise. Over a year post-partum, this is ACTUAL twin skin. Not these perky bellies I'm seeing on here of women who have carried twins. Twin skin isn't a belly that housed twins, but it's own brand of super stretched saggy skin. True honest twin skin can't be dieted or exercised away, it's ruined skin that has lost all elasticity. Once elasticity is gone, you can't get it back, this is basic science. It is very disheartening for those of us with ACTUAL twin skin, ruined bellies, to see all these perky bellies of women who claim to have "twin skin" when all they have are nice smooth bellies that once housed twins. It's not the same. It's not the same at all. I hate my belly. I hate it with a passion. If I could lop it off I would. I work my arse off to get in shape and be fit, but this disgusting belly that I can't get rid of ruins all of that effort.

Me too! NEW
by: Anonymous

My first children are twins they are 6. Before I had them at 21! I was a size zero with a flat tummy. After the vaginal delivery at 40 weeks I could not believe how my belly was sagging!!! I literally had to hold it as I walked. It definitely was a shocker and very emotionally depressing for me. As much as I work out it definitely will not I away. So proud of you for sharing. Maybe one day I would have a Tummy tuck because it still bothers me to look at it :( I think other people don't understand what we moms of twins go through after birth.

Honestly. NEW
by: Shayne

I'm 21 years old... I have 11 month old fraternal twins. I'm working on getting in shape right now, just starting ;) but I see this body of yours and know this is what mine will look like. If I work hard enough! You look fantastic! & I think your twin skin is beautiful. Thanks to reading what you said, I think I'm going to love mine too. Look how fantastic you look, and all you have from the pregnancy of twins is that? Not so bad. Just a beautiful scar.

I am 3 months post partum with twin boys, one vaginally delivered the other emergency c section. Although I have lost over 50 pounds and am only 15 pounds from my pre pregnancy weight, my stomach skin is destroyed. It can be disheartening to see these women post "twin skin" bellies that look better than mine did before I was pregnant. Thank you for being so brave and honest.

Loathe my belly Age35 NEW
by: Anonymous

From previous post......
Meant to say that I carried twins 37 1/2weeks. Girl 7.7and boy 6.4 lbs.
I don't want to be negative, but if honest about my fears maybe someone will have info or pictures of positive results and I can change my opinion and fear. Looking forward to it. I admire the ones that went for the surgery. Btw, has anyone had insurance pay for abdominoplasty ?

Loathe my post twin belly but terrified of surgery risk AND RESULTs NEW
by: Anonymous

Ok, I'm 35. 2 pregnancies. 14yold and 8y old boy girl twins. Weight 135 ht. 5'5. So I'm rather small. Could stand to lose 10 lbs, but never hAd to diet or exercise, but now my belly is to cry over. A huge disaster. My mom and sister nurses. I've even gone to a abdominoplasty consultation. As much as I hate my belly and the LOSE skin that bulges and looks like a shar-pei (the wrinkly dog), I am absolutely terrified of abdominoplasty. Both the surgery and the AFTER results or look. Don't know about y'all but all the fake bellies that I've seen surgeon create look WEIRD as crap. The pictures I google look just as odd after as they do before. They just look like your trading one bad look for another. None of the ones i've seen or sexy or even come close to a natural belly button and then there's the big slice scar that makes you look like you've been mutilated. Am I looking at the wrong sites. Because just feel like it six both ways. Don't feel like I would be happy before or after. For example I'm posting this before and after and all the steps between of man before after abdominoplasty and even after 1year http://www.tummytuckformen.com/tummy-tuck-abdominoplasty-before-and-after-pictures-page-2.html#Tummy%20Tuck%20Abdonimoplasty%20Pictures%20-1%20Year%20After

I, too, hate twin skin. NEW
by: Anonymous

After my first child, my body bounced back fine. Then I carried twins for 36 weeks at the age of 32, and hello twin skin. I also found it depressing.
I am amazed at how many women on here have posted that they will start exercising and doing crunches. I guess they don't realize that once the abdominal muscles have separated and the skin has stretched past the point of elasticity, there is no going back.
It's been over 9 years since the twins were born. A month ago, out of the blue, I decided to get a tummy tuck. It's been 11 days now since I was sliced up. The recovery is pretty miserable, and the procedure is awfully expensive, but I was so tired of trying to hide my jiggly bulging belly.

I agree NEW
by: Dana H

This is truly what Twin Skin is. I was 18 years old when I gave birth to twin boys 7lbs 9oz and 7lb 8oz, 40 weeks to the day. I weighed 150 when I got pregnant and was 220 when I had them. I'm 36 years old and love my kids, I would do it all again but there hasn't been a day go by that i haven't mourned for the body that i had before. I would take stretch marks gladly over the loose flabby skin.
