The twin pregnancy was going so well, but at 27 weeks we developed acute twin to twin transfusion syndrome.

I had an amnioreduction which bought us an extra 10 days but things eventually declined. Our boys were born at 29 weeks, 11 weeks early.

Hugo was born on 15th December 2007 at 12:14 weighing 2lb 2oz and Charles was born 2 minutes later weighing 2lb 6oz.

They spent 9 weeks in the neonatal intensive care unit but are going from strength to strength.

Grandsons TTTS

My daughter in-law had the surgery and we lost one of the twins....within a month my grandson was born. She was 26 weeks and he was 2lbs even.....He was in the hospital for about 2 1/2 months and he is now home and getting bigger every day.....His brother that didn't make it is now his own special angel.... What an amazing journey this has been.....Blessing to all.........

This is amazing! My girls had TTTS and were born at 32 weeks! We had an amnio-reduction at 23 weeks and then found ourselves at 24 1/2 weeks for a laser ablation then again at 25 1/2 weeks for a second laser ablation.The donor was 2lbs 15oz and recipient was 3lbs 10oz! This is a very nasty and can be very devastating diease! I pray for many more miracle babies!
