Pregnant with twins and one sac smaller than other should i be worried?

Hi I've just found out I'm expecting twins very exciting but scary as twins don't run in the family and its the last thing I expected to hear. I had a slight bleed not a lot at all and it was after intercourse both babies have good strong heartbeats but she was very negative about twin 2 as the sac was smaller from what I've read its normal!!

Twin 1 was measuring 8weeks and 1day twin 2 7weeks and 6days so not a major difference I feel fine in myself very sick, but except for that fine is this normal? Or should I be worried about twin 2? I don't want to get my hopes up but I think its a bit late I'm sooo excited !

First, stop worrying. I had the exact same scenario earlier in my pregnancy. Now that I'm in my third trimester not only has the smaller of the twins caught up in growth, she seems to be just slightly larger than her sister now. If they are fraternal (separate sacs indicates as much) they are no more genetically similar than any two siblings. Which means they are bound to grow a bit differently. Also, ultrasound measurements are not exactly accurate. There is room for error by a few ounces or so. So, again DON'T WORRY! As long as you are eating a healthy diet and taking care of yourself your babies will be fine. ;) Congratulations!

As you said the difference in measurement is only a couple of days. I don't think you should be concerned if they both had strong heartbeats and everything else looks fine. I am 24 weeks pregnant with twins and every time when they were measured there was a slight difference between them. Just try to relax and don't think too much about it. Fingers crossed and hope all goes well.
