Our Twin Story - There's only one right??

In April 2009 I found out is be expecting my 4th child, needless to say I was scared. 4 kids holy cow.. So in May I went for my first ultrasound. As I'm laying there I'm telling the u/s tech there's only one right?? Because my friends are teasing me, telling me " your probably having twins"! And I'm saying all this going on and on. I hear 2 heartbeats but I'm still clueless.

She informs me that she'll be right back. So in walks my doctor, he hands me my u/s pic and says congratulations. I look at it and my gosh clear as a crystal 2 little babies with arms and legs. It states twin a and twin b.. Huh?? I have no twins in my family.. I was in shock . The u/s tech was dyin of laughter because of the 25 minute story I've been rambling on about. What a dummy I am. Well after shock came reality. High risk pregnancy? C section ? I'm terrified!!!! I tell my husband and he's on cloud 9. So long story short.. I had a pretty great twin pregnancy..Found out we were having b/g twins. Carried my twins to 38 weeks, and no c section or extra stretch marks. Thank you Jesus!! Jackson weighed 5.6 lbs and Arlynn was 5.4 lbs.. Both are happy, healthy and thriving !!

That's awesome Peggy!! Yes I agree I never wouldve thought having twins would be so rewarding! It's a blessing.. How is it with 2 one yr olds?? Mine are only 3 weeks so right now it's not too hard. Thanks for sharing your story..:)

thats wonderful that everything went so well i didnt find out i was having twins until i was 16 weeks and it was the same situation almost..my doctor had a tech. come in and we were talking and she said so you know how many i told her yes 1 she put the wand on my stomach and then said no 2 my husband just stook there staring at the 2 baby heads with a big smile on his face and i started crying lol i was so scared in shock and every other emotion lol i wasnt ever one of those people who wanted twins one at a time was enough but i think being pregnant and having twins is one of those things that you may not ever thought about wanting until it happens and then you wonder what you were thinking and now you know that you wouldnt have it any other way...so here we are a year later and my boys are doing great i carried them full term and they weighed 5lbs 2 oz 18in and 5lbs 13oz 19 in.. congrats on your babies :)
