Hello ~ My name is Christina I am 27 years old been married for 2 years to my wonderful husband Nick. I have cystic Fibrosis and my whole life I always wondered if I would ever have kids. I have 8 nieces and nephews they mean the world to me! I love each and every one!

About a year ago my husband and I started IUI and both of my tubes were blocked and I had to have surgery to unblock them. THAT WHOLE EXPERIANCE WAS VERY STRESSFUL! We got the go a head to do the first IUI and it took!! Thank you GOD! I am going to have A baby! We were so HAPPY! Then I went to my first ultra-sound and OH MY GOODNESS THERE ARE 2! I txt my husband and he could not believe it. I had PROOF! We were so extremely excited! So for my side that would be number 9 and 10 for my parents and for my husbands side it is number 1 and 2! Everyone was so excited!

The twin pregnancy was wonderful even after the doctors told me before I even got pregnant that I would have a IV the whole pregnancy and that I would be on bed rest most of it. Well I only had an IV the first trimester and my last. The kids did wonderful!!! I was only on bed rest my last 2 weeks and I worked full-time until the last 2 weeks and at 36 weeks on April 23, 2009 along came our blessings from god finally, Mitchell Alan at 5lbs 9oz and 19 ½” and Milly Stephanie at 4lbs 15oz and 18 1/2” by c-section.

Everything went great! Milly gave us a scare she was having a hard time breathing on her own, but she got a hang of it and she has a GREAT set of lungs on her. We all were in the hospital for 4 days and ALL of us got to go home together.

They are now 15 weeks old and Mitchell weights in at 12lbs and Milly is 12 ½ lbs (my little chunky monkey).

Here is a picture of them at the Vikings Training camp on August 1, 2009.

I am Nick's mom, Babs. The story is even more unbelievable in that Christina's mom Mary and I were best friends in High School, both married guys named Mark and she and I were pregnant with Christina and Nick at the same time. Christina was born premature in February and Nick was born on time in October 1982. Mary and I lost touch through the years and reconnected around 1999. Nick and Christina met while she was in the hospital and have been an item ever since. Both of these kids are terrific parents and Milly resembles her Papa and Mitchell his Mama. It is fun having grandbabies and watching them grow.
