My Twins boys were born at 34 weeks, 3 days!
To start off I'm a 19 year old mother this was not a planned pregnancy. I found out I was having twins March 23rd 2010 wow- pregnant with twins. I was told they were fraternal.
When I was 11 weeks & 5 days I was bleeding and rushed to the hospital. The babies were fine and I just had a hemorrhage burst behind the babies they said it would heal on its own I'll be fine. which it did. Everything else was fine my twin pregnancy seemed to go quick and harder each week because my stomach was huge. My high risk specialist did ultrasounds every 4 weeks and said my cervix was long I could carry to 37 weeks.
When I was 28 weeks I was admitted in the hospital and I was told I had preeclampsia and with-in 4 weeks I would be delivering. I was on strict bed rest and had to eat a high protein diet. 4 weeks past by and I still had my twin babies in. They said I can go a little longer. When I was 33 weeks I was back into the hospital for 2 days just to hear I'm fine and I can go home. And when I went home I had this terrible pain right in between my breast but under the breast bone I had had it off and on my entire pregnancy but this one was so bad I could not even walk straight and it went on for hours until I would vomit. I called my doctor and he sent me right back to the hospital the same day I had got out.
I stayed there till I was 34 weeks and 3 days. (sept 21, 2010) they said my gall bladder needed to be removed it was infected so they prepped me for an emergency c section since my twins were breech I could not wait to see my "boy and girl" I went in and at 2:08 pm my baby A Boy was born (big babies by the way) 5 pounds 7 oz and then 3 minutes later at 2:11 pm my baby B BOY! came 4 pounds 11 oz.. its crazy because out of all the twin ultrasounds I had all of them said my baby b was a girl. They was breathing on their own since I had steroid shots at 28 weeks and the only problem was they would not eat from a bottle they needed a feeding tube. They spent 14 days in the NICU and came home. Less then a month after my c section I had my gall bladder removed thank god because my gall bladder attacks just kept getting stronger. When my baby b was 7 weeks he stopped breathing and was rushed to the hospital. They said he had sleep apnea but for some reason he did it when he was awake. So they said acid reflux but wasn't too sure. They are now 3 months old and my baby b is still on a monitor. Its a struggle everyday with them since they both have colic. Their father is a man I grew up with me and him are not together because his family wants a DNA test since "twins don't run in his family" funny right? Because they are all through mine. Being a young mother is hard but being a young mother to multiples is even harder I had a lot of growing up to do in such a short amount of time but I wouldn't trade it for the world.
