raising twins

my twins are different in size

by jolson

Hi everyone
I am a mother of 1 and a half month old twins (a boy and a girl) I wanted to ask if it's normal that the girl is much bigger than the boy even her head looks much bigger , I am wondering is the boy going to catch up and they will look like twins or will he always be behind??? They are both on bottlefeeds and steady weight gain...

Nothing to worry about

I went to church with boy/ girl twins and the girl was always much bigger. One was built like father's side of the family and one like the mother's. It's just like having any two children who are built differently- these were just born the same day. :)

I will start out by telling you that this perfectly normal. As long as they're both gaining weight, it is okay. My baby boy is smaller than my girl. They aslo have told me that the boy is smaller because of his muscles and since us girls get fat easier (makes sense, because everytime I take them to the doctor , they're always no more than about 2 pounds of a difference) but yet, my baby girl looks & feels way heavier than the boy. But if you do have a concern, speak to your doctor about it and he/she will reassure you if everything is ok. Good luck!!
