My perfect timing twin birth story!

When my DS was only 2 years old, me and husband wanted to follow on baby #2. But, 4 years of waiting and still no baby. Adding to the stress was my son who was 3 that time who keeps on telling me if there's a baby in my tummy. Which I would always say... "none yet".

We were praying and still expecting, until one day... I finally got a positive test on a pregnancy kit! We we're excited especially my son. After a few days (I was 6 weeks pregnant and haven't visited my OB yet), my son who was 5 kept on telling me "Mom, there are 2 babies in your tummy". I didn't want him to expect 2 as I don't want him to be disappointed once more. So I just kept on telling him "I don't think so... I think there is just one".

The mere fact that I'm finally pregnant was already a great news.

On our 1st visit to the OB and my 1st ultrasound. The doctor kept on asking me questions like, Are you taking fertility pills, do twins run in your family. Which I would say, of course "no". I have never tried any fertility or any pills of sorts in my entire life. Also, I don't remember or even recall any twin in my family hence, my husband's. Then finally, while double checking... my OB said "Well, look... You are having twins! There are 2 placenta in them, 1... 2" Husband and I were awestruck, speechless! Our son shouting inside the room! "We have 2 babies! We have 2 babies!!!" Phoned friends and family and all of them could not believe that what my son wanted really came true.

Several weeks.. months of heavy burden, but exciting twin pregnancy... I finally gave birth during my 37th week and 60 lbs heavy!

My pregnancy and birth was truly a perfect timing. A few days after my OB appointment, I was scheduled for a CS a day after I actually gave birth. We were set to go, but something in my heart is telling me that I needed to make it a day earlier. I went for a final appointment and at the last minute, I told my OB I wanted to give birth a day earlier as we've previously scheduled.

It was so timely, as the doctor operated on me. My 1st baby cried a very good yell, she weighed 5.75lbs, but then, when the dr opened up the placenta of the 2nd baby... she saw the placenta fully filled with meconium. She did not move when the dr. got her out but after a few tugs... she suddenly moved and filled the room with a very loud cry. She weighed 4lbs.

All the dr. thought, the 2nd baby almost didn't make it. My OB then told me that should we have scheduled it a day later... My 2nd twin wouldn't have made it. Me and my twins went home together after 4 days from the hospital.

I believe that this pregnancy was a miracle from the start. I was relieved to know that a day matters a lot to my God. Everything was in perfect timing. I was filled with joy each time I remember that day. Now, my twins are 8 months old and are very healthy.

Being a mom is a great gift. Even how crazy these twin days are, I can just say that these things happen for good for those who are loved by the Lord.
