My Good Twin/Bad Twin Belly!

Picture #1 - Good Twin Belly - Standing Up
Picture #2 - Bad Twin Belly - Bending Over
For some reason my belly looks what I would consider okay when I am standing up, BUT it's misleading! The worst is when I bend over or if I am on my hands and knees and my belly is just hanging. Picture #2 doesn't really even show Bad Twin Belly's true nature! It looks like a deflated balloon when I am in these not so flattering positions. You can't see any stretch marks when I am standing or lying on my back. I call these my Good Twin / Bad Twin Bellies! :)

For a long time after my twin pregnancy I though I was one of the lucky ones! Until that first terrible moment when I looked down at my belly as I bent over to pick up something I dropped. :( I was instantly turned into a blubbering mess. I didn't have the courage to show my husband for months. He says he doesn't care, but dang, would he really have the guts to tell me if he did mind!?

I do have to tuck my pooch into my jeans and I dislike that very much. I also am dissatisfied with my now herniated looking belly button...it used to be such a cute, nice innie.

With all of this said, I am blessed with 3 beautiful, happy and healthy children. Daughter age 3 1/2 years and identical twin sons 1 1/2 yrs. I am thankful everyday that our sons survived TTTS and were born at 37 weeks after I had been on strict bed rest from January to June!

I was 150 lbs. before my 1st pregnancy and gained 54 lbs. with her. I lost it all and then some while nursing her for one year. My belly looked completely normal! No stretchies, perfect belly button everything. I gained 58 lbs. with the twins. I nursed for 10 months and it took most of my weight off, but I linger at 160 lbs. now. I'm 34 and I think some of my weight issues have to do with my slowing metabolism.

I love my twin babies a zillion times more than I hate my Good Twin/Bad Twin bellies! I guess that's all we can ask for! :)

I would love to have that belly

If you cried when you saw your imperfection, I wonder how you would react if you saw my twin belly. It is way way worse, I'll just leave it at that. You ARE one of the lucky ones.

I have that too!

I feel similar about my belly- when I stand up straight my belly looks amazing ( for having 3 kids), but the slightest bend and it's like WHERE DID THAT COME FROM!!! I have a 4 year old boy and 18 mo. identical twin boys, and they are wonderful, but I will not hesitate to get this flap removed as soon as I find the right surgeon!! My breasts are what I'm really sad about- when I was nursing I was a 36 D now 36 B (a size smaller then pre-baby) What's up with that???
