Labor in pregnancy AFTER twins

My first pregnancy was a twins pregnancy. My labor was 6 hours from start to finish (easy vaginal delivery). Now I am pregnant with a singleton and I am having a very hard time find any resources that tell me whether my first labor is at all an indication as to whether I will have another quick labor.

We attended a refresher childbirth class and the nurse said most second labors are half the length of first time labors. When I asked if the same rule applied to twins pregnancies, she admitted she did not know (but thought perhaps the answer was yes). Does anyone know what the true medical statistics are on this?

Good chance.

While each pregnancy is different and technically your labor and birth could be very different..... there is a really good chance it'll be similar.

For my 1st, my water broke in early morning and I delivered baby girl 11 hours later, vaginally with no complications.

For my second, my water broke in early morning and I delivered baby boy 10 hours later, vaginally with no complications.

Not sure on actual statistics, but I thought it was a well known fact that your chances of having another event-free easy labor and delivery after having one are good. Best of luck!
