Identical 15 month old twin boys not talking yet?

I have 15 month old Identical twin boys. My concern is.... they are not
talking yet. I hear ba ba and da da and mama but that is pretty much it.
They wont' even try to say things when I ask them. Like "shoe" or ball
or book. I have heard twins are normally slow to talk . Should I be
concerned?

My Identical boys are 20 months and they only say ma ma but that's about it.
My doctor said not to worry till they are 2 years old. However, they undersand everthing you tell them to do, example go get your shoes we are going to play outside, pick up your book, lets take shower,
I would talk to your doctor.

I had concerns about my boys talking at around the same age so i thought i would bring it up at their 18 months check, by the time that came round they were almost talking the 20 word that is expected of an 18 month old and since then they have just gone forward in leaps and bounds. It seems like 18 months seems to be a turning point.

Twin Talk

I have not noticed them doing "Twin Talk". They do an awful lot of singing. They will make a sound and just hold that sound for long periods of time. Or keep repeating the same "Ahh" sound over and over. They tend to do it in unison. I know that's their attempt at singing because they do it more when I sing to them or they hear music.

My 14 month old identical boys

I wouldn't worry too much. My boys are 14 months old and only say mama, dada, bye-bye & uh-oh. In terms of copying words I say, they really don't do that yet. Just keep reading to them, talking to them & responding when they talk. It'll happen!

My oldest girl didn't talk until she was 2 years old.We got her into speech and she stated talking a few month later.Im a twin myself and I didn/t talk until I was 2 but we had our twin talk.Does your boys twin talk?
