My nursery was designed for my twins, Jolie and Jacie. I wanted to design a room that was elegant, feminine with an enchanting and cheerful ambience. First I chose the furniture, beautifully designed cherry wood furniture to give the room an elegant atmosphere. I then chose the bedding set that consisted of very soft elegant colors, mauve, cream, and brown with a light floral print which was made with a very feminine fabric. This was the general setting for my nursery. The lighting is two beautiful cream chandeliers that are set up with dimmer, plus a lamp on the nightstand that coordinates with the bedding set. The color on the wall is a light pink eggshell (Pink Quartz). Everything in the room is centered around a tea party of dolls and teddy bears. There are two swings with dolls hanging in the corner above a cream rocking recliner. The swings were created by my mother to help create the enchanting flair. I added a dollhouse shelf and some bright pink accents to give the room a cheerful feel. There were also gifts that were handmade by my mother, aunt Julie and my grandmother that were also beautifully incorporated to make the room extra special. All in all I think the twin nursery turned out to be everything I wanted more. A true nursery fit for two girly girls.
