Do I need a triple stroller for twins plus a new baby?

by Sara

I am in need of some advice on what kind of stroller I should get, or if a stroller is not going to be necessary after all.

I have twin boys who will be 1 in Oct 2010. I just found out last week that I am expecting baby #3 in April!! Total Shocker!! Very exciting, of course. The boys will be 18 months at that time and will be able to walk by then. I am not sure if I need to go out and get a triple stroller or if there is something out there that is a double stroller with an additional area that I can snap on the infant carrier to.

I am at a loss at what to do now. I know I have some time so I am not freaking out about it yet. Just thought I would throw that question out there and see if any of you have any ideas.

Thank you!
Sara

Just had my 3rd
by: Meghan

My twin boys are about 18 months apart from their brother, who is now 7 weeks old. I researched like crazy for a triple stroller, but they are all so expensive. Right now, I push the boys in their stroller and I put the baby in the Beco carrier or sling. If I buy a triple stroller, I am considering the Joovy Big Caboose Stand-On. There are some negatives, but it seems like the best option for the money(~$300).

If money were no option, I would get the Triple ABC Adventure Buggy Pram, but at $1200US, that is a bit steep!!! Super cool stroller, though!

Congratulations to both you ladies on your new additions!! It will be hard, but nothing lasts forever! I am surviving with most of my wits in tact!!

I am in your same boat!
by: Lindsey Macrae

Oh my goodness! We are in the EXACT same boat! My twin boys will be 1 on Oct 23rd and I'm due on April 8! I am soo worried about that too. I got the Valco twin stroller that comes with a toddler attachment on the front of the stroller. It's pretty awkward looking but it's better than all the rest I think. And I'm pretty sure you can attach the infant carrier to the side seat. They are pricey but I got a great deal second hand. I plan on using it when I'm out and about for long trips, but I think I will put the infant in a ergo baby carrier or something like that on shor trips. I am so glad to meet(kinda) someone in my shoes. We should stay in touch for moral support!! Remember, when people tell you you're crazy or it's going to be soo hard, just remind yourself that children are the greatest blessing and it's going to be triple joy in your house... that's what I have to do when people start rubbing fear into me :)
