Cummings Cutest Twins
by Roslyn
Our twin blessings
Born at 35 weeks early! Hunter Kaikoa and Maddox Waika couldn't have made a better entrance. Hunter baby A arrived at 5:28am on december 27, 2009. Maddox baby B arrived at 5:39am on december 27, 2009. Just 11 minutes. The day after xmas feeling nothing but the urge to pee. The kids had gotten by xmas but didn't want to play cause al they wanted was their tutu. To get our minds off of things I decided it would be best for us to get out of the house. We went to checkout the after xmas sales. Got home at about 3pm and got the kids settled. I went on the computer while my husband stayed outside with the kids and cleaned car. Everything seemed fine until I had to pee again. Being that I had other pregnancies and the sign of labor started when my water breaks I know when that is. It was happening again. I just pee'd got up and water started trinkling. then more and more came out. So I called my husband calmly. We got our things together and called my 18 year old sister to watch our kids over night since it was 7pm. By the time my sister got their it was 7:45pm. So we left and 15 minute later I realixed we forgot the camera! I made my husband turn around... He wasn't very happy about that. We arrived at the hospital at around 8:30pm. The Dr. suggested I give birth on another island because they didn't have a NICU. I was just 35 weeks. So by the time I reached the other hospital it was already 1:30 and my contractions started to come back to back! when they checked me I was 6 cent. dilated and my back was killing me. I asked for an epidural and they gave it. bad idea the drugs was sooo good I didn't realize I could push until it wore off. The nurse suggested that we try pushing at 5:20am and I told her get the Dr's cause I'm a quickie! sure enough. The first push happened to be the starter. Hunters head was out and by the second push he came flying out into the DR's arms. With amaze the Dr's told me to stop.we waited and they said don't push hard! How do you do that. Pushing hard was easier then lightly. okay I am very blessed. Baby B try'd coming out hands first but the Dr's were able to push it out of the way. He came out 1st push. The hospital staff were so amazed by the senario hey forget to get blood from the cord blood. The next day I'm up and walking babies were perfectly fine and I was happy to be near my grandmas hospital. we prep for release the following day. I got to see my grams after all! she didn't look the same anymore with all the tubes and stuff. We got back home the day before new years eve. the next day we needed to go to wal mart to pickup some much needed baby stuff. I begged the older kids to come but they wanted to stay and help watch the twins. While shopping I got a startling phone call from my mom stating to meet her at the ER cause Jaida my oldest got bit by a dog on her lip!... Sooo bad plastic surgery had to be down. overwhelmed i rushed home to pickup the twins. Low and behold the next day my husband and I were going to fly out to be with my family to meet with the DR.'s about my Grandma. it wasn't good at all. New years day. A decision was made to take out everything from her. She lived for about 30 minutes and that was it. I just lost my best friend, my grandmother, and my world. In the end; life is too short! cherish every moment like its your last. remember the good times always.\\ rest in peace Dad and Grandma! We love and miss you guys. |
