baby carriers for twins??

by Veronica
(Argentina)

Hi,
I just found out that I am expecting twins. I have a six year old son who I carried in a baby bjorn carrier everywhere and found it amazing for him and especially for me...I am wondering if you guys know of a special carrier like this one that is especially designed for twins. Or at least some sort of creative ideas on how to wear two baby carrier at the same time. I live in a big city and sometimes a stroller in high traffic zones is almost impossible... thank u in advance, Veronica F.

Baby Carriers
by: garfield

My wife and I found both of the baby carriers we used at this site. Look for the ones that are made without toxic chemicals. http://www.lastellablu.com

I found a twin baby carrier
by: Lylian

I recently bought the twintrexx (sp?) twin baby carrier and just love it, Its easy to put on and off and I can split it and have my hubby wear a baby as well. I just thought I'd put my two cents in since it really has made life a little easier. Hope this helps!

I was wondering if there is someone out there who no longer needs their twin carrier and is willing to donate it? I will be happy to pay shipping?

The Weego
by: Anonymous

I used this carrier for my twin babies which were colic. It worked wonders! The twins loved being in the Weego, but it is difficult getting them in the pouches. It can be used from 3 pounds up until 5-6 months. I used it up until they were around 15 pounds each.

easy way to carry twins
by: Anonymous

ok my husband is african, his mother came and stayed with us for a while to help care for the twins. she told me the way most people carry their twins is one on the back and one on the side. she pulled out a twin size sheet, folded it in half, placed the baby on her back, and wrapped the sheet around her and the baby, tied the sheet across her chest and the baby was so comfortable he fell asleep.then she pack my little girl in the carrier, arm, stroller etc. i hope that was helpful

Baby carrier
by: Kristin

Hey there! We have the maximom twin carrier (from doubleblessings.com). It holds 30 lbs each side, that's a lot, and can be worn with both in front or one in front and one on back. The only problem is that it takes some practice getting them in it, but free hands is worth it :)

MOBY WRAP

I have seen moms use the Moby wrap for twins. Although, probably in the small stages.

I know of one!
by: Anonymous

I was searching online just the other day, and I came across the Weego Twin Carrier. It's 149 dollars, and it will only hold 20 pounds of combined weight. My twins were born at 7 and 7.5 pounds, so by the time I would get it, they'd be almost out of it. If you are interested, the link is below.

Great ?
by: Anonymous

I too have been wondering what to do. I love the idea of having them close to you and feel it creates a very special loving bond... but how do we do it with two?? I haven't seen any made for two but I wonder if you buy two seperate ones and hang one across each shoulder. Has anyone done this or would that be too heavy? I have a feeling we are going to need to be super strong by the time they arrive! Thanx, Lindsey
