Are twins at a higher risk for SIDS?

My sister in law told me that this was true - do you know ?

According to statistics, unfortunately the answer is yes, twins are at a higher risk for SIDS. It is thought that because twins are more likely to be smaller, born earlier, and have lower birth weights.
This is just a risk factor however just like many others.

I really didn't worry about it with my twins as they slept together. One was usually moving or crying and their breathing would seem to be regulated when asleep together.
