TWIN PREGNANCY 7TH WEEK
by: Anonymous

This is my second pregnancy and i
m having a girl of 31/2 years. Actually i found 2 weeks back that i'm pregnant with twins. Just waiting for the next appointment. I have read about the vanishing twin syndrome and lil scared. I'm already showing out. We dont have a family history of twins and all are really excited. I found this site really helpful to get some information about the twin pregnancy.

Twins?????
by: C. Renee

Hi All, I am 7 weeks preggo. This is my second pregnancy. I am in the twins forum because I have this feeling that I am having twins... I had this really strange dream that I had triplets 2 girls and 1 boy. The thing that shocked me the most is that I was just as I am 7 weeks and had perfectly healthy babies. This may seem strange also but I know that I am feeling things in my stomach and its NOT gas. My stomach feels like its tightening and I feel more wide than poked out.. I go in on the 30th to have my ultrasound but I really dont know what to expect... Congrats to everyone who is expecting twins!!!!

Very happy for you. I have 5yrs old identical twin girls. It is truly a joy to see how close they are.( Still share a bed, can't be without each other.) I found that keeping them on the same schedule was key to making things easier. The first 3 months are the hardest. but once you figure out a routine that works for you hopefully you will be able to get a little more of that much needed rest.
congrats and enjoy every moment.

2nd Pregnancy with Twins.
by: Mandy P.

Congrats everyone! I am pregnant for the second time (its been 8 years since I've had my daughter). Went to my first appointment and doctor felt the need to do an ultrasound @ 6 weeks..well, there are two of them! Crazy! Twins do not run in either of our families, definitely a shocker! With my last pregnancy, I experienced Hyperemesis Gravidarum (an exaggerated form of morning sickness). I ended up vomiting 8 times in 6 hours..was prescribed Zofran and after one dose it works WONDERS! I am able to eat all I want now. She also gave me samples of Citra-Natal (prenatal vitamins) that also work as an anti-emetic. If you are having severe nausea, talk to your doctor about these options!

first of all CONGRATS!! thats amazing!!
i just want to ask you if i may, your belly looks big for 9 weeks is it because it is twins or its the 3rd pregnancy?? i am also pregnant with my 3rd baby i am sicker than ive ever been and so exhausted all the time, im almost 8 weeks and my belly looks like im about 4 months along, my grandmother was a twin so the possibility of twins is playing on my mind... just a little feedback would help :)

Congrats!
by: Jessica

Congrats on finding out you're having twins! So exciting. I had fraternal twin girls 5 months ago & it has been so much fun! The pregnancy was horribly long & uncomfortable. I carried the girls to 38 weeks with no complications. They would've stayed in there longer but I developed pre-eclampsia & they took them via c-sec. at 38weeks. Both of them were perfectly healthy & we all went home a few days later. I have a 4 year old daughter as well & she's been a big help! The twins are a lot of work but they are really good babies. They've been sleeping through the night since they were 2 months old. I had them sleeping in the same crib until they were 4 months old. I had them on the same eating schedule when they were first born but now they eat at different times usually. You'll figure out what works best for you. I stocked up on diapers before they were born & I didn't have to buy any more until 2 weeks ago! Having twins is such an amazing & special experience. You'll love it!!! Hope the rest of your pregnancy goes quickly & smoothly for you!

Me too!
by: Anonymous

I too am on my 3rd pregnancy and have found out they are twins. I am 18 weeks now and just starting to feel somewhat ok - over the nausea. I have to say the shock factor was very prevalent until only a few weeks ago. It takes a while to settle in. I know there will be times of chaos and very little sleep but I am realizing that we will have the last laugh having a big family always there to support each other. What a gift it is for our other children. Think of all the fun times to come and the big family get togethers you will have in future, not to mention all of the life skills all will have growing in a big family. These thoughts may will help you get through the shock of it all!
