My 2 Gifts From Above
Let me just say that it has not been an easy journey so far. I have Crohn's Disease and a heart condition and when I spoke to my doctors about having kids, my husband and I were told that I probably would not be able to carry and it may be too risky for me. But, last September we did get pregnant!
It was very exciting but scary because I started bleeding almost immediately. My GP sent me to get an ultrasound and told me not to get excited because he thought I was miscarrying. But when I went for my appt, instead of being told that we were going to miscarry, we were told that there were two gestational sacs seen and there didn't appear to be any signs of complications! It was a miracle from God!
Since then things haven't become any easier though. I think I've suffered from almost every twin pregnancy symptom possible plus I've had to deal with my mother developing cancer the same month that we conceived. The doctors said that she may not live long enough to see the girls born BUT...these two girls have given us all hope for brighter days and my mom the motivation to win this battle! I don't know what will happen in the days to come but despite all of these hardships, I just know that my two angels were sent to me as a gift from God to remind me that He is constantly watching over me and hearing my prayers.
