raising twins

24 weeks with fraternal twin girls

twin belly at 24 weeks

twin belly at 24 weeks

So far, so good - found out we were having twins at 14 weeks and it has been a roller coaster ride since then! They are expected to arrive in October 2009. Except for some intense abdominal pains (ligaments stretching) around 18 weeks and now back/leg pain, the twin pregnancy has been pretty good! The girls are growing well and kicking a lot! BTW, this is my first pregnancy.

This is also my first pregnancy and i am now 24 weeks, expecting boy/girl twins. I felt them moving but only subtly up until about week 23 when those butter-fly like movements became more like karate chops and kicks. Christmas eve I was kicked so hard I had to catch my breath, but I count it all joy because I know that they are alive and well. Sometimes I worry because it all seems to be coming from one spot and not the other? But I go to have another ultrasound next week so I'm sure it will be fine.

You look fairly small though, but you know everybody told me that same thing, said that I was all baby. thought that was a blessing also....congrats!!!

Hi,

Did your nausea continue with the twins? or did it subside at some point.
When they kick, is there a possiblity of them hurting each other?

I was wondering if i would be able to fly at the 24 week mark if your having twins? If anyone knows plz let me know.

you look awsome and very healthy, congrats on your little angels.

Hey! Great belly photo - so cute! I am 21 weeks 3 days pregnant with fraternal girls also. It's funny, when I read your post, it was like reading about myself! I had really bad ligament pains around 18 weeks too and now the girls are always moving and kicking - keeping me up at night! Lol. I'm a bit bigger than you, but it's my first pregnancy too. I'm due October as well :)
