My husband, a marine, and I conceived our twins a little before he was due to leave :( I was so glad that he went with me to the ultrasound that showed twins but now he is gone and its really hard without him here. He gets to come home for leave in Sep. for my birthday and the baby shower but then he must leave again :( so I don't know if he will be able to make it for the birth of our 1st babies, our twins:( but this is one of the many pics I have been sending him. Hope u guys enjoy!

I wanted to make it a little different than the rest:)

Close to knowing what youre feeling...
by: Guard Mommy

My hubby is leaving for basic training and AIT in July and Im being induced with our sons in Sept. These are our first two children and now he might not be able to be there when theyre born. And hes not coming back until Dec. The worst part is that I want to have him at my shower to celebrate one last time before he leaves and his own mother is having a coniption fit beacuse im not doing the shower when or how she wants it done. Just too much drama right now with her...

Mary and Alexa, could I interview you guys?
by: Crystal Kupper

Hi, my name is Crystal Kupper and I'm a freelance writer. I'm currently writing an article on giving birth to/raising twins while your husband is deployed. I am a military wife myself and am very interested in hearing your story. Please write me at crid21@hotmail.com if you're interested. Thanks!

I feel you...
by: mary

My first pregnancy my husband was deployed to iraq.... and now I am 18 weeks pregnant to a boy and girl and he just recently left to Afgahn... So this is his second time missing the birth. I've talked to his 1SGT personally and he said they'll try their best to send him just in time when I give birth. There are many of us that feel your pain. Just hang in there. We are all in this together.

I know how you feel...
by: Anonymous

I'm 18 weeks with twins too. My husband, currently touring in Iraq, and I decided to get try and conceive during his two week leave and were successful! He wasn't there for the ultrasound, but I filmed it and mailed it to him. Your husband should get leave when they are born- I'm so glad that mine is scheduled to return before my due date. (But anyone who knows the military knows that things can change at any time) I hope you have a strong family support. Being alone is difficult enough anyway.

I'll keep you in my thoughts!

Best of luck!
