12 weeks pregnant with twins, no more growing, no signs of babies?

I'm very petite,, I've had two girls, ( 9 and 5yrs) so I have been pregnant before. I found out I was pregnant with this one right away,, 2 weeks later,, its twins!! fraternal.I stick out really early, because of my no hips n small frame, I always have. For the past few weeks, i haven't had any progress in weight, or inches to the belly. I am 36 inches right now, and haven't moved. I almost feel as though my belly has gotten a bit smaller. is this possible? am I overreacting? or should I make an appt. I'm soo scared they are no longer "alive", and wonder if anyone else feels like some weeks are just "no grow" and "no symptoms" and then it kicks in again? let me know,, and thank you!!

I think it is a normal reaction to worry that they are no longer living or that something has happened to one of them. I still do this, and I am 34.5 weeks pregnant. I also am naturally very petite. I swore I was getting huge, but when I look back at pictures when I was 5 and 6 months pregnant, I looked smaller than most with singletons. At 32 weeks I was told by the doctor that I had to gain some weight b/c the babies were in the less than 5th percentile. It took eating all day, literally(and being miserable), to gain 5 lbs. I think I am within the normal range now though. I believe for some small women, gaining weight and eating enough is difficult b/c it is not natural to eat so much and to gain so quickly. For others, it is not so difficult. I agree though, if you are in doubt, I would definitely call your doctor. It is worth your peace of mind!

Hi

I actually lost a considerable amount of weight at the beginning of both of my twin pregnancies and didnt really start getting any size till almost the 7th month both times. So i wouldnt worry to much if its just your size thats concerning you. But I always live by the philosophy that if its bothering you enough call your doctor and get checked just to be safe.
